Graphic Facilitation and Graphic Recording are two of the most commonly used approaches in our visual toolbox—though certainly not the only ones.
Graphic Facilitation and Graphic Recording
In all of our work, we start by getting a clear brief on what our clients need to achieve and why—whether it’s a meeting, an event, or a longer process. From there, we design an approach collaboratively, ensuring we make the best use of our skills and time together.
Graphic Facilitation and Graphic Recording are distinct visual thinking tools that can be used on their own or blended. The diagram below highlights some of the ways they can complement each other.
Graphic Recording
When we are Graphic Recording, we focus on deeply listening to the content of a meeting or event and creating a live visual record in real time.
Graphic Recording is known by many names, including Live Illustration, Graphic Reporting, Live Scribing, Conference Illustration, Event Capture, Visual Minutes, and Visual Maps— and the list keeps growing.
Graphic Facilitation
When we are Graphic Facilitating, we act as facilitators in the room. We consider the purpose and process you’ve engaged us to support, and we create visual frameworks that guide people’s conversations and thinking.
Additional Services
We also offer a range of other visual services, including:
- Creating summary visuals—distilling documents such as vision statements or annual plans into a single, clear page.
- Designing custom templates for workshops or other uses.
- Planning or co-planning workshops and focus groups.
- Delivering bespoke training sessions to help people develop their own visual tools and skills.
